“Funding Green Buildings: Sources & Strategies” Workshops

Since 1998 Jan has presented more than 40 “Funding Green Buildings” workshops to more than 700 people in 28 cities across the nation. In addition to the workshops, she provides “hands-on” funding consultation to commercial and public green building projects in the $20 million range that are seeking LEED platinum certification. This exciting workshop provides a 10-step "roadmap" for optimizing your agency's or your client's green building-related financing, capital campaigns and grant writing strategies. The presenter, Jan McAdams, uses case histories to describe creative approaches to the financing and fundraising process. In addition to "funding readiness strategies," Jan will describe many of the "Energywi$e 100: The 100 Major Public and Private Sources for Grants and Donations for Sustainable & PV Commercial Design Applications."

Ms. McAdams is an alumni of UC Davis with 30 years experience in the field of grantwriting and fundraising. More than 4,800 aspiring grant writers have attended one or more of Jan's "Grantwriting for Success: Matching Dollars & Ideas," and "Funding Green Buildings" workshops offered since 1979 throughout the nation at major universities. Jan's commitment to securing funding for sustainable and PV-integrated, buildings is reflected in her firm's newest publication, the “Funding Green Buildings Toolkit” which is the workshop manual.
